Mirabelle Rousset-Charensol

It has been 10 years since I discovered this material, enriching and surprising in its creative diversity. I am discovering it differently each time, in whatever form it appears: this is my day-to-day life. And get it to express how I feel. A response to a project, to the yours, or an emotion I tend to share.
According to my parents, I have always had a vivid imagination and a strong taste for creation since my childhood. I grew up with art books, taken from the library of my grandfather Georges Charensol, a specialist and author in art and film critic. My post-baccalaureate career first led me to join the Jean Monnet Faculty of Fine Arts in St-Etienne. Although the working procedure in creation are multiple, the notion of volume was quickly a creative priority with the love of the object. That’s why I selected the School of Fine Arts of St Etienne with specialisation in design. Today I am an open woman in her 40s, married and mother of three children, sharing my heart between the Dombes and the Beaujolais.Early, I had worked for 9 years in a strategic design agency in Lyon, responsible for global projects, from graphic design to interior architecture. Coming from the field of communication and design, I choose a more artistic path: to discover the pleasure of steel by working it with cuts, notched joints and fragility. To show that this material is a synonym of lightness, softness, femininity. Nature as my main source of inspiration, and metal as my favourite material. A vocation that has been asserted over time and realised at professional level. From my passion, I built my daily life, creations inspired by reflection on the surroundings, and mainly the nature. How can the environment and its graphic universe influence the production process and take part in the work? How can the steel sheet emerge the volumes, or specific volumes to make the object representative?Personal creation or order on request, objects decoration and furniture, volume paintings and sculpture. My ideas have no limits, with or without constraints.
