Creation, organisation and running of guided tours, storytelling, fun activities and scientific mediation aimed at helping tourists, day-trippers, local residents and schoolchildren discover the Beaujolais region.
As a Geopark guide and member of the ‘Pillow Lava’ association of guides, I work in partnership with the Syndicat Mixte du Beaujolais, manager of the Beaujolais UNESCO Geopark, and local heritage associations.
Guided tours and fun activities take place :
- On request for groups (associations, clubs, groups of friends, coach operators, leisure centres, schools)
- As a service for organisations needing extra guidance or wishing to create original offers.
- Scheduled for individuals and families
Educational activities take place :
- At schools
- On a Geosite (geological, natural or cultural site)
- In the classroom
- A la carte (combination of several activities)
In the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées, Beaujolais Vert and Pays de L'Arbresle areas.
During the scientific outreach activities, pupils learn about scientific methods (observation, analysis, determination key, hypothesis, etc.), geology-related vocabulary and the uses to which rocks have been put by man (construction, chemistry, paving, marble work, etc.). They also discover the culture associated with mining and quarrying activities and get hands-on (fossil research, sketches, experiments, etc.). Geology is a favourite theme, as we are in a UNESCO Geopark, but through these activities I also cover geography, agriculture and landscapes,
