Collectif Misfits

The Collectif Misfits was created in 2011 in Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Beaujolais region by Juliette Jouniaux. It likes to intertwine different arts while addressing social issues or historical plays (Fragments Colette, It.in.errance, The Swan, Kabarett, etc.).

Through its many activities (playwriting, contemporary choreography, compositions based on actors and dancers, residencies in schools), the Collectif has pursued a single goal since its foundation: to promote multidisciplinary, meaningful theatre that allows everyone to be entertained and to reflect on themselves and the world.

Beyond the professional theatre company, the Collective has developed its own theatre school (improvisation and classical theatre) with no fewer than 170 amateur students to create links between artists and students. Our classes take place at the Maison des Associations in Villefranche, the Théâtre de Villefranche and the Théâtre Le Gléteins in Jassans-Riottier.
