La Cave Mathelin has been a family business for 3 generations. We offer wines from all over France and beyond, as well as regional craft beers, spirits, gift ideas and tasting workshops.
The Mathelin family has been making wine for 3 generations. Romain, 26, took over the 12 hectares of the family estate three years ago. We produce white Beaujolais, white Burgundy, Viognier, red Beaujolais, rosé Beaujolais, red Gamaret and 100% Chardonnay Crémant de Bourgogne.
The company's second hat is that of wine merchant. You'll find wines from all over the world (Champagne, Bordeaux, Beaujolais, Côtes du Rhône, Languedoc, foreign wines, etc), as well as spirits (whiskies, rums, eaux de vie, plant liqueurs, cognac, etc), regional craft beers, accessories and gift ideas!
A few extra services: we specialise in large events (weddings, birthdays, conscripts' parties, etc.), so we can offer you bottled or bag-in-box wines to suit your budget and quantity requirements! We also offer beer taps for hire.
Our wine tourism offers revolve around tasting, because there's nothing like wine itself to express the richness of its terroirs. We therefore offer themed tasting workshops, as well as introductory tasting courses, and electric bike tours of the vineyards followed by a tasting of the house wines.
