The estate brings together some of the region's finest vintages. The entire production is vinified, matured and bottled at the Château. Ageing takes place in an open cellar. The wine tasting area of the oenotheque allows you to discover the wines of the Château.

Since the Middle Ages, the Château de Pizay has been crafting fine wines that delight the most discerning lovers of Beaujolais. Rooted in the heart of the region’s crus, the estate perpetuates a traditional winemaking know-how, producing wines enjoyed and recognised around the world.

With nearly a thousand years of history, the site recalls the layout of a Roman villa, a likely hypothesis given its proximity to an ancient Roman road. First mentioned in 1030 in the charters of the Abbey of Cluny, the Château was fortified in the 11th century, followed by the construction of a keep in the 14th century. In the 18th century, the addition of a formal French garden completed the estate’s elegance and harmony.

Today, the Château de Pizay stands as one of the major estates of Beaujolais, with 80 hectares of vineyards spread across several appellations, offering visitors a unique blend of heritage, landscapes and the art of living.
