This typical Beaujolais house, with its 300 years of history, overlooks the village in a floral setting. Guided visit of the vineyards and the cellar by appointment. Chiroubles, Brouilly, Beaujolais-Villages red, rosé, white. Sparkling rosé.
From planting to bottling, I strive to work in an environmentally-friendly way, using reasoned vineyard practices and traditional winemaking methods.
However, I'm always on the lookout for new ways to improve the quality of my wines, while preserving the character of the terroir.
I look forward to welcoming you to the cellar to show you the range of wines made at the estate.
The vines are planted in the Chiroubles, Brouilly and Beaujolais-Villages appellations, and come from the Gamay Noir grape variety with white juice. Since 2011, part of the vineyard has been planted with Chardonnay to produce Beaujolais-Villages Blanc.
All the work is carried out by hand, as is the harvest, because the special feature of Beaujolais is that whole bunches are harvested.
Chiroubles, Cuvée Emilessence: the vines are located on the heights of the village of Chiroubles; the very special terroir of this Beaujolais cru produces a wine of great finesse, with floral aromas in its youth, which can develop great complexity over the years (can be aged for around ten years).
Brouilly, Cuvée Cœur Accord: located in the commune of Odenas, this hundred-year-old parcel of vines produces a crisp wine typical of the appellation, with pronounced red fruit aromas and a round finish.
Beaujolais-Villages: the vines are over forty years old; the grapes ferment for between 8 and 16 days. This is a well-structured wine that can be aged for 3 to 5 years.
Beaujolais-Villages Cuvée aged in oak barrels: the wine is aged for eleven months, from September to August, in 215-litre barrels. The wine is matured on fine lees, and the bottles may show a slight deposit over the years. A wine for laying down, oak casks can be kept for 5 to 8 years.
Beaujolais-Villages rosé and white: to be drunk within the year. The grapes are pressed as soon as they are picked, then the juice is cooled to 15°. It ferments very slowly and thus retains all its aromas.
Rosé pétillant, cuvée des oliviers: made from a rosé that is refermented in the bottle for 100% natural bubbles. Chilled, this brut sparkling wine is ideal as an aperitif!
