The Château de Champ-Renard welcomes you to a unique setting for an exciting wine challenge. Learn while having fun! Come share our passion and try to identify the different aroma families and flavors of wines. Test your knowledge and take on our quiz. Blind taste 6 wines—white and red—and uncover their characteristics.
For this wine challenge, you will have the privilege of enjoying the exceptional ambiance of the Château de Champ-Renard's private salons, settling into the wood-paneled room or the cozy library. The wine challenge is divided into 4 stages:

Challenge #1: Aroma Workshop
Discover 2 aromas from each aroma family: fruity, vegetal, floral, animal, and food-related

Challenge #2: Flavor Workshop
Identify the 5 primary wine flavors—bitterness, saltiness, astringency, acidity, and sweetness—through selected food items.

Challenge #3: Knowledge Quiz
Answer 30 wine-related questions within a limited time frame.

Challenge #4: Blind Tasting
Blind taste (masked bottles) 6 distinctive wines (3 whites and 3 reds). For each wine, identify the wine region, appellation, grape variety or varieties, characteristic aromas and flavors of the appellation, alcohol content, vintage, aging potential, and suggested food pairings. Additionally, describe the visual aspect and color of the wine, the aromas you detect, the initial impression on the palate, the overall taste and flavors, and finally, the length on the palate.
