The Route des vins in Beaujolais by motorbikes, between vines and forest

Route des Vins in Beaujolais Route des Vins in Beaujolais

For bikers, Beaujolais is a perfect place for a motorcycle trip whether solo, in pairs or even in a group!
The Route des Vins du Beaujolais is 140 kms of trekking that crosses hills, picturesque landscapes, bends, and curves! This is where the landscape changes with every bend in the road.

To the west is Beaujolais Vert. Just like its name! A mountainous region where you will traverse Douglas forests, meadows, and small villages with a few inhabitants. Deep within the countryside and the livestock zones, you won't be surprised to come across cows, sheep, horses, goats and other animals.

Stop at the Col de la Cambuse or at the Col de la Croix de Thel to enjoy the scenery or have a picnic in the middle of the fir trees.
As you go northwards towards the Haut-Beaujolais, the vines outnumber the forests. You will be warmly welcomed by the hilly landscapes and the villages perched on the hillsides of the vineyards!

There are four beautiful passes between Lamure-Sur-Azergues and Beaujeu that will delight those who love winding roads and breathtaking panoramas!

As you head south, there is the petite Toscane Beaujolais. In this place, the Pierres Dorées villages change colours to match the rhythm of the light. The Col du Chatoux or the Col du Joncin, both famous among the locals, offer you a 360° view of the surroundings.
Our motorbike tours between vineyards and forests are full of surprises!
